I completely support the continued operation of the site as an airfield and fully recognise the historical, cultural and economic benefits it brings to our community.

I have made arrangements to meet with the Minister responsible for aviation. In the meantime, Stratford District Council are making efforts to preserve airfield operations, including by use of compulsory purchase proceedings if necessary, which I support.
