Chris and his wife have lived in Kineton for 37 years. He was elected as a Councillor in 2007 and serves on the East Area Planning Committee, the Regulatory Committee and as Chairman for the Licensing Committee. Planning is an emotive subject as planning applications, whether approved or denied, have a profound effect on people’s lives. Licensing includes pubs, restaurants, dog breeding and taxi licensing. Chris enjoys village life and serve's as a committee member for Kineton Village Hall, Kineton Music Festival and is a team member for 'Keep Kineton Beautiful', a group that involves itself in general tidying up of the village. He works very closely with our Parish Councils and maintains a good working relationship. Chris knows that our Parish Councils are vital to the welfare of our villages and he will continue to work for the residents in our area, being the spokesman at the Council for the things that concern them. Chris understands that having an open-door policy is crucial and he welcomes phone calls or home visits at any time, day or night, for residents who feel they need help or advice. Chris has worked to make superfast broadband available in parts of Compton Verney and to upgrade Cabinet Kineton 11, meaning that many properties connected to it can now order the improved service.
As a Councillor for Kineton and Red Horse Chris is using his 14 years’ experience as a District Councillor to help the area recover from the pandemic. He is committed to continue working with local parish councils, working for all the local villages and helping with the issues that matter to you.
