Richard Hales moved his recruitment business here 10 years ago after living in Kenilworth for the past 33 years, with his wife Clare and their 3-year-old twin boys.
For the past 4 years Richard has been a Town Councillor and he is always there to deal with any issues, including taking an active role on social media for the Kenilworth Neighbourhood Plan. He is always one to be proactive in his role and strives to be a hands-on councillor. Richard has been Chair of the Kenilworth Christmas Lights Committee since 2016 and has really enjoyed bringing so much joy to residents over the festive periods. Richard was appointed Chair of Finance and General Services for the Town Council in 2018. He also sits on the Planning Committee and actively supports other council groups, such as the Town Development Forum. He is also Chair of the committee that recently secured £74,500 from Groundworks, which will be used to assist local businesses during the construction of HS2.
Richard has been Chair of the Kenilworth Chamber of Trade, was previously on the council at Kenilworth Wardens and is now an active member as a Vice-Chair of Trustees at Kenilworth School and Vice Chair of the Site Working Group looking at the development of the new secondary school due to be completed in 2021. He was elected to the District Council in May 2019.
